"The Battalion has just recently come back from Iraq. My MOS is Chaplain Assistant, which means that not only is it my job to take care of my Chaplain, but also my fellow soldiers. Since the 40th has come back from Iraq, I've noticed the problems, mainly emotionally, that seems to plague the soldiers. I'm writing you all because Independence Day is around the corner, and I was thinking what better time to show those soldiers some appreciation than on the 4th of July. We would appreciate anything to show the soldiers that they are appreciated and that America does not forget the sacrifices they're making.The kindness and support you showed to us in the nice things said in the letters and the fun gifts in the packages makes us feel uplifted and helps us know that we are not alone in this endeavor."

Mission Statement

With the help of volunteers across the US and the world who write letters, make cards and banners and hand made items to send our brave and selfless deployed military men and women, we hope to show them that we have not forgotten their great sacrifices for us by shipping special care packages to them. We also collect support from the community for their families while they hold down the fort at home. Our Director's Spinal Chord injuries have become too severe for her to continue her work of 6 yrs., Volunteers desperately needed.
