4th of July
Thank you Shawn, owner of
Taylor Audio
for
always pulling through for us with stage, stage cover, PA system, sound
engineering and working through the night to set it all up.
Please don't forget about our "FOR THE CHILDREN" PROJECT to send pallets of school supplies, shoes, clothes, coats, first aid supplies, vitamins, soccer balls and more to the very poor children of Iraq so devastated and injured by this war:
The
kids of the Civil Air Patrol in Orem Squadron made this 4th of July the most
patriotic and reminded us of our service men and women in harms way that give us
these freedoms we celebrate this day.
What an amazing example of service, self discipline and honor these youth are.
Thank
you Cadets of the Civil Air Patrol of Utah County for passing out flyers for our
event for hours in the hot sun along the Provo Freedom Festival Parade.
These cadets volunteer year round at countless events like no other youth
program I have ever seen.
We
are so proud of our cadets and hope to bring them along with us at all of our
events and to school assemblies.
These
proud youth are as dedicated as any military branch.
We
were so proud of our Drew Reese singing patriotic songs like "She Stands"
that all the audience automatically stood up and put their hand on their heart
for.
Hussein, our Iraqi volunteer expressed what
the First 4th of July in the US meant to him, and how he admired how our US
soldiers respected the US flag in Iraq.
Thank
you all that donated enough to send 30 packages to our troops overseas and wrote
them letters. Thank you volunteers that will be making Christmas Stockings too.
What can we say about the Marvelous ONE VOICE CHILDREN'S CHOIR UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MASA? AMAZING! AWESOME! MOVING! and THE BEST WAY TO CELEBRATE THE 4TH OF JULY WITH THESE ANGELIC VOICES.
Thank you One Voice Children's Choir for learning and
singing the most wonderful version of "Tell Me Why" about the children of
the world in such a moving way.
Thank
you Mark Shurtleff for offering $1,000 for the soldiers' packages.
The
audience stood up and clapped for the Iraqi families at our
booth.
As
you have done for the past 4 concerts with Letters to Soldiers, Shawn of Taylor
Audio, you are the Master of Sound!! Thank you for your generous service.
Thank you also DJ Shawn Phillips for joining us and the kind words.
