SALT LAKE CITY - Hundreds of U.S. Army Reservists soldiers said good-bye to their families Wednesday as they left for a one year deployment to Iraq. The 340 troops will provide support services for U.S. soldiers helping the Iraqi army transition. The soldiers will train in Fort Hood, Texas and Kuwait before they go to Iraq.

Denise DeVynck founded LettersToSoldiers.org, a volunteer organization that sends care packages and letters to support U.S. troops.

"We all love her and want her to know how much we appreciate her going overseas to support the country," said Darlene Nagao, a fellow troop supporter.

If you'd like to show your support, you can write a letter online at LettersToSoldiers.org.
