 Summer OR 2014?

#1  Heads up SOLAR GEAKS LIKE ME: THE HEAD OF THE PACK SOLAR PRODUCTS ARE INERGY power to go 3lb. Firefly lightweight Lithium battery charger that will charge your 40" TV for 5 hrs, your laptop 3 times over or 8 cell phones on one charge to a 6000 watt Home Base that will power up your house on wheels that only weighs 31 lbs.  With Solar Panels designed for Yachts and motorhomes that are thin and lightweight unbreakable.  With an engineer James Brainard that powered up KAzatstan, orphanage in Guana and soon Alaska, that so many OR companies are racing to have him design systems for their products and endeavors. But the rest of Solar Geaks just want these valuable toys to keep us going anywhere.  Thanks INERGY for helping me power up through 5 days of the OR.

#2 All kids and college students need MPowerpad2 built in Solar Panel lightweight Solar Charger with extra battery pack that not only powers up 3 phones by USB connection, but also has radio, flashlight, reading light, SOS alarm and sprays bug spray.  Yes I thought that was different.  But Genaro and engineer Hari from Singapore have got the coolest back to school toy all of us want to carry with our tablets, laptops and phones for portable power.

#4 POWERPOT        powers up your phone, laptop or light while you cook your camp meal.Watch how cool this is with Chris: http://youtu.be/FbgdjKJ-hFA

And a special Thank You to Melissa Donovan for making all the arrangements for AMGEN Sponsoring A Surgical Unit in Afghanistan with Care Packages
And look at the beautiful letter we received from this same unit back in 2010: "

    12/05/10"Denise D. & Letters to Soldiers Friends,

The 934th Forward Surgical Team at FOB Sharana, Afghanistan would like to send you our warmest wishes and most heartfelt thank you for the wonderful letters and the great care packages.  We want everyone that participated in this project, which obviously was done with love, significant time, and great effort, that we very much appreciate what you have down for us.  It is not easy for us or our families to be separated for such a long period.  Our team provides medical care to wounded Soldiers and Afghan people.  We are sadden whenever a wounded Soldier comes to our clinic, but we feel honored to be able to help out in anyway we can with their healing so they can return to their families.  Something that has been a tremendous help for our team is the amount of support we receive from back home.  The kindness and support you showed to us in the nice things said in the letters and the fun gifts in the packages makes us feel uplifted and helps us know that we are not alone in this endeavor.  We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Thank you for taking the time to lighten our load and brighten our day!

I attached pictures of some of the 934th FST Soldiers opening their packages and a copy of our team Christmas eCard.

     With Sincerest Thanks,"

     1LT A. A. , SSG N.C. , & the rest of the 934th FST Soldiers

    FOB S.,  Afghanistan"

OR Donations to DAV Veterans Day
Veterans Day 2013 Golden Corral with DAV  We donated boxes of new OR Clothing from Chaos, Royal Robbins, and other outdoor gear companies, and handed out 100s of letters to all Military that walked through.
Since we were not able to do events and donation collections other than Summer OR, we donated 40 boxes of collected items to 405th Soldiers to distribute to  their soldiers/families and other units.
We were able to ship some care packages to our Neighbor Captain Buhman and his soldiers and to a few other soldiers this summer filled with shoes from Adidas, Tshirts and other donated items.
We desperately need volunteers as our director needs to recooperate with much needed rest after the caring of her father 13 months, and her spinal chord injuries had just gotten too debilitating.  Please help us contact companies listed under Volunteer page.
